On 13th February 2019, the grand opening of the renovated operating rooms of General Hospital of Komotini took place.
The inauguration ceremony was held by the Metropolitan Panteleimon of Maroneia and Komotini, the presence of the Deputy Secretary General of Ministry of Greece Mr. Stamatis Vardaros, the Chief Executive Officer of the 4th Health District of Macedonia-Thrace Mr Efstathios Plomaritis, as well as representatives from State and Military authorities, institutions and associations of the region.
In the context of the reconstruction of the four surgical rooms, as well as all ancillary spaces of the Central Operating Theatres of General Hospital of Komotini, the following equipment has been procured and installed:
- Operating Room Surgical Light, Ceiling Type - 3 Items
- Operating Theater Table for General Surgery - 1 Item
- Operating Theater Table for Urological Surgery - 1 Item
- Peripheral Surgical Equipment - 4 Items
- "Laminar Flow" Air Conditioning System/Specialized Ventilation suitable for surgical operating theatres - 1 Item
- Operating Theatre's Automatic Main Entrance Door - 1 Item
- Operating Rooms' Entrance Doors (Double Door Panel, non-automatic) - 4 Items
- Operating Theatre's Internal Doors (Single Door Panel, non automatic) - 10 Items
- Theatre/Surgeon Control Panels (TCP/SCP) - 4 Items
- Resuscitation Consoles - 4 Items
- Surgical scrub-up sink (2 seat) - 1 Item
